Because fluorophore emission is stochastic, the detected photon bursts can vary widely from one fluorophore to another. The high sensitivity of dFC ensures the detection of even the dimmest fluorophore population.
With 12 color channels, dFC can unmask the biological heterogeneity of EVPs in a single experiment even down to the smallest nanoparticle.
By detecting every molecule that flows through the channel, dFC achieves absolute quantitation of the concentration of each EVP subpopulation present.
The ultra-high sensitivity of dFC enables single-molecule counting of biomarker copy numbers associated with each EVP, such as proteins and nucleic acids.
From the analysis of single EVPs that play a central role in liquid biopsy, ranging from exosomes to RNA-binding proteins, to the characterization of therapeutic lipid nanoparticles, viruses, and proteins.
